Since September we have had numerous activities. We read every day for the first term and tested the pupils on accelerated reading. Some of the pupils are a higher reading age and the books are more difficult to read in a few weeks.
This half term, we are concentrating on social skills and teamwork and working together as a group. This has continued into the second half of the autumn term.
We are using the computers for numeracy and literacy intervention twice a week, reading four times a week, social games and quizzes for team work, twice a week, creative art and craft weekly. Crafts include cards for parents or carers for Christmas, Christmas nativity boxes, pompoms and making imitation stain glass window art for the class.
We have worked on our class charter for our room, and voted for the class representative for the school council.
We have made a FRED – rights respecting logo for the pupil entrance and asked for class quotes to finish off the display in the pupil foyer.
