8 Sage have slowly settled and appear very content to be spending more time in our classroom base. Our classroom now has a ‘comfy corner’ that allows pupils a quiet, safe space to relax and reflect. Incorporating aspects of nurture has played a pivotal role in supporting all 8 Sage pupils to increase confidence, self-esteem, attainment, and a love for learning and school.
We have focused on the development of wellbeing by resting both body and mind through relaxation and mindfulness. Through music we have been transported to the Amazon Rainforest and dived with dolphins beneath the ocean waves.
8 Sage have engaged in weekly activities during lesson and tutor time to build their social and emotional relationships including more group and paired work, structured game playing and listening to stories. We also ventured out of school to visit a family of Christmas reindeers whilst enjoying hot chocolates in the café.
Well done 8 Sage!
